Our history

In every generation

Yidden have always yearned and striven to go up and live in Eretz Yisroel — our home.

  1. כ״ז

The Ramban arrives in Yerushalayim and rebuilds its Jewish community.

  2. שפ״א

The Shelah HaKadosh leaves Prague to settle in Eretz Yisroel.

  3. תק״ב

The Ohr HaChaim reaches Yerushalayim with his talmidim.

  4. ~ת״ק

The Baal Shem Tov sets out with true mesirus nefesh — but is not zoche to arrive.

  5. תקל״ז

Talmidei HaBaal Shem Tov — some 300 Chassidim — go up together as a chaburah, led by R’ Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk.

  6. תקס״ח

Talmidei HaGra follow — and aliyah never stops, to this very day.

  7. תשפ״ו

A true kibbutz galuyos: over 4,300 olim from France, 3,300 from America, nearly 1,000 from England.

Every generation had its builders. Now it’s our turn.

The future of Klal Yisroel is being built here. The question is whether our families will be part of it.

The challenges

So many of us long to live here — and to stay.

Why staying is so hard, and how the moshav answers each challenge.

1

Kehilla

No established kehilla of American Chassidish families. Far from parents and family, a kehilla is everything — without one, most who came “for a few years” go back.

Our answer

A kehilla built by American Chassidish families, for American Chassidish families.

2

Housing

Yerushalayim rents are steep, and buying a home is nearly impossible.

Our answer

Land for a symbolic sum — and a real path to owning your own home.

3

Space & calm

Tiny apartments and crowded, noisy streets — no room to raise children with menuchas hanefesh.

Our answer

Private homes, gardens, and open space.

4

Chinuch

Few mosdos are both serious Chassidish and right for American children — with Yiddish, English and Hebrew all in the mix.

Our answer

Mosdos for our community, with Hebrew–English integration from day one.

5

Parnassah

Careers don’t transfer easily — and when support from home runs out, so does the plan to stay.

Our answer

Work near home: remote-work infrastructure, local businesses, and a local economy over time.

6

Putting down roots

Renting, moving, waiting — everything about how we live here says “for now.”

Our answer

Ownership from the start: a caravilla that’s yours in 2½ years, then a permanent home.

More than a move · Our mission

1

Building up Yehudah V’Shomron

Helping build a new, permanent community in the heartland of Eretz Yisroel.

2

Opening the way for American families

Making it easier for American families to make aliyah — and for those already here to stay for good.

The process

Three stages, from garin to town

אStage A

Forming the garin

First we build the group. The land comes after.

The founders

50+ families ready to be the founders, making the decisions together.

Proof of demand

Until now, new yishuvim have been built almost only by the dati-leumi community. A large, serious group shows the authorities real demand from ours.

The land

Open land in Binyamin, ½ hour from Yerushalayim — or, with a serious group, one of two already-approved yishuvim off Route 443, between Givat Ze’ev and Modi’in.

Working with the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council — not an outpost.

בStage B

Moving in

New yishuvim usually start with Amana’s basic rental caravans: ₪1,000–3,000 a month depending on size (about ₪1,000 per 45 m²), plus ₪1,000 for infrastructure. They’re simple, budget units — not right for every family. So we’re offering two better options:

Option 1 · Confirmed

Buy a caravilla

A high-standard caravilla, finished inside like a beautiful home. 0% financing over 30 monthly payments — roughly what you’d pay in rent in Yerushalayim. After 2½ years it’s fully paid off, and it’s yours.

Option 2 · In discussion

Rent a caravilla

The same high-standard caravilla, rented from Amana for a much lower monthly cost. We’re working to convince Amana to offer it.

גStage C

Zoning & permanent homes

A real town: streets, infrastructure, every communal need.

Land through bar-reshut or a ~50-year lease for a symbolic sum — you pay mainly for infrastructure.

₪200,000

Infrastructure per 500 m² plot — rough estimate (about $65,000).

The numbers

The founders’ advantage

2

A real say

This is not a developer. Every family who is there has an equal say in how the moshav is set up.

Rough estimate: land through bar-reshut, infrastructure as above, and regular building costs for a ~300 m² house.

The vision

Imagine what we can build — together.

As founders, we’re not buying into someone else’s plan. Together, we decide what this community becomes.

Some of the ideas already on the table

Torah & Chinuch

  • A chinuch charter the founders write together
  • A beis medrash with daily shiurim
  • Shiurim and classes for women
  • A women’s wellness center, spa and mikvah

Family & Nature

  • Homes with gardens and room to grow
  • Big play yards and a kiddie house
  • Walking trails, courts and ponds
  • A working greenhouse and gardens

Kehilla & Parnassah

  • Neighbors who know and carry one another
  • A café and places to gather
  • Work near home: a remote-work hub and local businesses
  • A guest house for family and visitors

Built by its founders

Every founding family has a voice.

Together we choose what to build, what comes first, and how it’s funded. These are ideas, not promises — each one is built only if the founders choose it and it’s viable.
